Afloat

Afloat.

What does it take to keep my soul afloat
Its much more than that old rubber boat.

Is it the summer sun or the autumn mist
Or someone close hugged, loved and kissed.

What does it take to keep my soul alive
Its much more than that car that I drive.

Is it blue sky and the wind that blows from the sea
Or is it dreaming of somewhere else I would rather be.

What does it take to keep my soul together
Is it Riding that old blue bike today and forever

Is it the smile from a young child not a cry
Or just watching spring blossom blowing by.
