Afraid of own shadow ?

I wouldn’t walk in dark alleys
For I am afraid
Something may be lurking there
Hiding in the shade
Creeping in the shadows from the dim street light
Waiting to pounce on me & give me a fright

Do not invite me to a seance
Take someone else instead
I can’t imagine nothing spookier
Than contacting the dead
Goodness knows what thats about
But I don’t do the word decease
Poor souls have passed over
Leave them to rest in peace

I much prefer company
Never like being all alone
Its the thought of uncertainty
I can’t stand the unknown
Yes I am a nervous person
There’s nothing surer than that
I will admit it to anyone
I’m just a scaredy cat
