After my Sweet Moment of Hush

After my Sweet Moment of Hush

Is there no way out of the mind?
you would think a door or window would help?
sometimes it feels as if it will explode inside my headĀ
some days I can hear my pulseĀ
blood pumping, as mind rummagesĀ

I often wonder if I could possibly remove myself from it?
escape for a while?
every now and again?
just to be in a quiet place
within?
Ā
perhaps sitting in a meadow surrounded by pink tulipsĀ
sunshine and blue skies
silence and peaceĀ
birds singing in the oak treeĀ
without my mindĀ
and all it's hustleĀ
Ā
I could certainly be spoilt
in luxury couldn't I?
Ā
but of course...Ā
I'd most probably want it back
after my sweet moment of hush.
