Poem -

Afterlife

Crisp, spring morning,

Birds singing cheerily,

Looking out stained glass window,

Freedom outside...

Black clad figure,

Arms gyrating to the oratory,

Froths and spews forth damnation,

Sinking hearts and worrying brows.

Promised paradise, played parody,

pronounced with gilded tongue,

An afterlife to believe in,

One you can achieve,

If you follow scriptures.

Outside life beckons,

God's creation calls,

To be enjoyed, embraced...appreciated.

Inside a sad truth rules,

What comes after life,

No one really knows.

Faith is long forgotten,

Left outside the church.

The truth that everyone knows...

After life comes death...

And paradise one hopes.

Time

Specs of conscious dust,
Born from darkness
In life...till death,
In a fleeting moment...

Knife twist

Cold whetted steel
Pierces my heart,
As she twists the blade
And sadly smiles.

Continuous loathing fight...
