Age Old Mind

I favor the older age and the learned wisdom,
Over the naive young I know it all thinking,
And the I can do it all attitude.
I get agitated hearing these young men tell me they have this and that no big deal,
When everything I have I've worked very hard for.
There's no respect for the ones that come before,
No listening to the things they tell, do you think maybe they've done this already.
So close minded at least they know what they want,
But change will play a big part for them some day.
In my age old mind I have learned to posses more patience,
And not let the young and naive bother me as much.
I simply go about bettering oneself,
Because the knowledge gained is truly your powers.
The older I get the more my challenges must be met,
For a head to be held high you've got to feed the age old mind.
