AHMED HOPES
Sound of bullets are part of daily lifeĀ
Feel so upset for Ahmed and his wife
Both are fifty and live in Baghdad, Iraq
Their home is considered a derelict shackĀ
Ahmed hopes one day that peace will arriveĀ
Takes shelter daily just to live and surviveĀ
Never in his life has he seen peace beforeĀ
Always seen conflict always seen warĀ
Prayers to this couple this poet sendsĀ
I send much love too for these dear friendsĀ
Keep safe keep well and keep togetherĀ
Look forward soon to brighter weather

Yayy a very thoughful compassionate poem for a couple in war torn Iraq. I recently read of an american poet's poem how bombing by foreigner Americans and presence of American soldiers is causing disastrous tragedy for Iraqi civilians. Kudos for this great poem.!!
