Airs Apparent

Airs Apparent

You see them in China as they walk down the streets, with masks protecting their face;

You look in amazement, and say “oh dear Lord, what have we done to this beautiful place?”

You’re up in a plane that starts its descent, to a city in our dear United States;

But when you look out the window, it’s hidden by clouds, of ozone and industrial waste!

Every day on the news, they talk of the air, and the times you should not leave your home;

They say if you breathe it, you’re risking your life, and eventually you will live in a tomb!

How could mankind have let it get so out of hand, the pollution that threatens our being?

So blinded by greed, the dollars bright green, that the beauties on Earth we’re not seeing!

How can we stop this gross genocide, the suicide of our own human race?

There still might be time to rescue ourselves, but first, the facts we all have to face!

For believe it or not, there are still fools on the Earth, that dispute all the scientists’ facts;

They say nothing has changed in milleniums, that’s the way the Earth always reacts!

The “airs apparent” cannot be denied, but the world needs a strong progeny;

Her “heirs” that inherit the future of Earth, and bring the changes that so need to be!

The vote must be unanimous, for the verdict be reached, a lifetime with no possible parole;

To work every day, on cleansing the World, and getting things under control!
