Alien ?

I am truly sorry but you are alien to me so I have to keep my social distance 
This is the way this has to be
I don’t know where you have been and you should feel the very same
If you caught the Coronavirus 
I would not want the blame

So I shall smile every time we meet on passing
but we will be yards apart
It is best I tell you how I feel

Please don’t take offence
