I think the difference is how we live our lives in between:

We were born all alone, we study,  we graduate,  we get married,  stay together as couple for the rest of our lives or drift apart, have children or not,  until we find ourselves in an empty nest. 

The choices we make shape our future. 

I also lost a lot in my life in my early adult years like you Cherie Summer ( I hope you read this too). ### circumstances in life have caused me some deep searching.  I realised that I haven't been living my purpose,  because I listened to the dictates of others. ###

But I chose the difficult path###
