She sat there
All on her own
Not looking at anyone
Not even me
No one liked her
No one cared
They just left her there

She was so alone
So unhappy
So down in despair

I have felt loneliness in my life. This work brings stark and sharp memories. Joining a community and feeling a part of something greater than yourself reduces the pain of seeming isolated.

I truly do hope that it helps the young girl because it is never nice to feel alone. I wrote this when I was back in school so I fully understand some of the feelings she is having. Please use it however you want to help your students. :)
