Poem -

Alone in a Room

Sitting alone in a room
It's dark and it's cold in the gloom
It is silent at first, just my breath to be heard
ThenĀ came theĀ sound, a noise, not a spokenĀ word
At first it was faint, like a tap on the floor
Then came the creak of a rusted old door
I turned to my left but the door to the room
Hadn't opened at all, I was sealed in like a tomb
Then suddenly I spun back around to my right
As the noise that I heard became a scream full of fright
And stood there beside me was a girl with a dress
Of yellow and pink, her hair such a mess
Her eyes were filled with terror and dread
It was then that I realised this poor girl was Dead.
