Alone She Cries

Alone She Cries

Alone she cries, when doors are closed,

and no other could see

she lays alone, her world is gone

she drinks herself to sleep

she must be strong, to carry on,

a voice inside her head

Only she who holds the pain

'hey girl your mateĀ he`s dead!"

the shock absorbs into her mind,

she now knows shes alone

she`ll cry some more

when night time comes, the other side lays bare

so hit inside, her hurt her cries..

to rid of such a loss

she falls to sleep inside she weeps

her heart so heavily tossed

her days will pass, for time is chance

her sadnessĀ cries unspoken

right now her child is all she has to

heal the wound thats broken

AUTHORS NOTE @R

Losing someone to the grave is so heartbreaking that we all deal with this situation differently, its being able to physically let go and channel that emotion positively to our children or remaining family members. For some loss is so great they leave this world with a broken heart.

Thanks Susan - I simply wrote the pain I saw of a woman who lost her husband and drank herself away every night, I couldnt help but reflect it this way as a dedication to her :)
