Altered lives

         Altered lives.
Long last the alter, thought you had forgot my name. Long past the altar, I may have forgotten yours was still the same.
Only in memory I whisper your name, as thoughts of you drift in the wind. After all these years I finally remember this is where we were to begin.
I did not know that was my soul when it went walking, I was in control, I did the talking. But now that we’re both here, you take the part I don’t need and I’ll stay here with the part that did all the coughing.
Just before they ask me to go, as they place me on the altar, just before I walk through flowered fields that will so much change our lives . Before I have to let you go I will blow a kiss with my last breath just for you , these the days of of our altered lives.
