Amazon Nation....

She levered herself up, then slipped and fell, crying out unconsciously at the unfelt pain
For a moment the winter roared in her ears, like a triumphant predator
Her breathing rasped her, as if claws of cold had already torn into her brain
In the Amazon Nation there was nothing that could be clearer to her
The time had come to grab up her sword and ride north for days
Ever mindful of the pain, ever mindful of the unspoken reality
The Man hunters were back, and soon she'd stand beside her sisters
In war, in cold, and most of the time, In pain
Ever mindful of the pain, was the Amazon warriors mantra
She headed north to warn her sisters she had nearly died that day
Now she needed nursing, she had to find a way, this day
Or the Man hunters would chop them down
With no regard, for the pain
So she whipped her steed, she needed speed,
Ever mindful of the pain, driven on by anger, she'd arrived
Just in time to evade the enemy of the wars gone by, and now the tribe
Would find a way, to prepare their sister for battle, she had arrived, just in time
And still she's ever mindful of the pain
She steals her sword and wields it without patience
For way out here, among The Amazon Nation
The drums are drumming, they know the man hunters are coming
So they prepare their war paint and their poisoned blades
When speaks the Princess, "Not today!"
And they grumble and put their pain away
For they have denied the bloodletting
And they run away
The Amazon Nation
Will live
to fight, another
Day..........
