Amber

I hear the shower of pearls that shatter
The jade earth cracks to expose it's amber
And as the ruby princesses die
Don't hope for the souls preserved to hear their cries
What good is calling out for help
Will the ghosts of Gaza, of Iraq, Syria or Yemen appear to lend a helping hand?
Will the wombs of Japan, Vietnam or Rohingyaland
give birth to boddhisattvas that will rescue
Where was your tongue, your voice
When they didn't have a choice but to waste away
You turned aside and looked away
without a sincere conscience
Became the kinds of gods that live on other's sweat and tears
And now here you are praying to the neglected God
expecting Him to be all ears
