AMERICA CAN BE AGAIN
When changes are brought forth we must become adaptable...
America is now known as being UnAmerican...
The world is changing and we can't sit still...
The world is changing...
We have no choice...
Children once cute and adorable are being raised to be feared before they die...
With haters growth becomes more hate...
When our world changes...
We all have to change too...
Some live to kill...
Trust has been proven to be deadly...
When the world changes for the good...
With time, America can be...
America again...

We should be concerned, but children have actually become second or last on the list of priorities...
If we spent as much time with the kids as we do with outside influences...
Could be a different story as well...
We don't raise our kids anymore...
School and technology has more of the child's attention...
But, when we were kids we didn't have all the stuff to keep us in the house and entertained...
We didn't have an IPAD where people would say...
Play on your IPAD...
But, kids can't just go outside and play anymore either...
Teach a child to not be conformed to the World?
Yes, you're right they shouldn't be entertained by outside influences...
They become what they are exposed to...
Almost like you are what you eat?
They do learn by watching us...
If we don't do our part, yet they are expected to do their part...
Then people get upset at the child when they get that confused look on their face...

You are so right about the difficulty between the good guys and the bad guys...
The world changed indeed...
If it could change toward the bad it could have changed to the good...
I'm just wondering why it changed toward the negative side of itself...
Children that could still be alive and parents too...
So many people that didn't have to die in such a horrific manner...
Why has it gone so very wrong?

hello, sparrowsong, I love your style, very compelling point of view your take; and PTL! you take a view and actually say what you mean and mean what you say; for that I applaud you....hey, any American who is patriotic, loves their country and puts their views of America on an international poetry site, has my respect. I don't know what it's like to live there right now seeing all the changes taking place, but like everything else, America is evolving into what 'Americans' need it to be, now and in the future, not what it once 'was'....'nothing' can ever be what it literally 'was', personally I'm not a fan of projecting my standards and or perceptions on anything; it's also highly unrealistic and a divisive point of view....one of the names for America is 'the melting pot' and it's a great description of what America in reality, and for the most part, is, no? I'm looking towards America with great interest, for many reasons, the country has set high standards for itself; great writers, poets, painters, thinkers, inventors nation builders...and is there a more powerful expression than ...we the people? America is, was and I suspect always will be a 'great' nation, despite the flaws; no great nation on this planet has ever been perfect, throughout history, all have flaws, no?

I haven't heard us be called that for a long time...
There's several positive ways that could actually be taken...
You see when you melt something down to a liquid and it gets harder it can be transformed into another beautiful thing...

It's also a famous restaurant which is quite awesome as well by the way...

Without flaws the world be actually perfect...
