America the Divided
American Pie, yet you spit in my eye
With your murderous riots and heinous hate
What, not enough pieces to go around?
So you fight and burn me down
A war with no winners and no end at this rate.
Sacred stars and stripes spilt on the streets, flame bright
You reap, yet you do not sow
For each βfreeβ word you say
A soldier protects you today
And another's buried 6 feet below
American Pie...one slice white, one slice black
A piece for the Muslims, no you βblamedβ them for the attacks
Hispanic rights, gay rights, women's and other rights too
There's not a crumb left of the Pie once all the slicing is through
βThe American Dream,β βThe Land of the Freeβ
Is now a social media posting that reads: ME, ME, ME!
So goodbye βOh, Land of the Brave!β
As it turns out, you ALL are enslaved.
