An Addiction

Round and around the roulette wheel goes
But what number it will stumble on nobody knows
Whilst the obsession makes the gambler worry his woes
As stakes tumbles down like dominoes
A dependence of a drug that is very unkind
As it gnarls away at one’s soul and blows one’s mind
They have got to get that fix to manage their mind
These poor people are problematic and blatantly blind
Such a sickening crapulence of vinosity
One may drink to a drunkeness of “Oh God help me”
Lost in a bubble of despondancy
But an addict is a self-inflicted adversary
They are addicted to a habit
that eats away at their inside
Which looses one’s self respect and removes all their pride
Yet help can heal them if they search outside
But they could already be too late, alas they have died
