An agonizing uncontrolled 🄲

Looking in that oblong, glassy gaper on my wall in the hall

I sigh within a shudder at such a shockening befall

Coz those creases on that weather-beaten brow makes my skin crawl

Can this person stood staring scrutinizing really be me at all !!

Yet yes it is true this is I indeed

My smooth, soft skin has shrivelled at an awful sudden speed

That age, old timelessness of time is on a mission of greed

Replacing my youthfulness with a dried out garden weed...
~
Yet I have tried and tested every cream in the ā€˜Anti-ageing’ book

They claim to rid those wrinkles by hook or by crook

But my eyes do not deceive as they study and look

Huh those brands of cosmetics just talk such gobbledygook...
~
Of course it isn’t fair I do not want to appear old

So I cover up those laughter lines when I’m outside in the cold

And yon sizzling sunshine isn’t good for one’s complextion I am told

Isn’t growing old gracefully just an agonizing uncontrolled...
