An English castle ?

An English castle ?

Up cobbled slopes stoney and steep, I am on the top turret of the coastline castle keep, I look at the seashore way down below and imagine bloodshed scenes from long ago..I see boisterous, bearded, burly Scotsmen swarming the lands like big, black dots running on the sands..

Menacingly, marauding and making such a manic sound, as heavy metal shields and swords reverberate around..English soldiers all with bow and arrows on their leathered, broad backs fight off fiercesome enemy attacks.. Hairy clansman with claymore in their knuckle-duster hands heed battle bawls from King’s commands..Oh my God such a sorrowful sight as bloody bodies lie flawed in blight..And English country maidens hide away in the cold, dark alleys espying the ships with flagged masts and galleys...

Limbs lie lifeless in red, ruination as Northumbrians sought their rites to seek salvation..Following in the footsteps from their forefathers before when Vikings landed on that shore, pillaging and pilfering pirates of plagiarize, to sabotage and swallow up the enemies supplies..ravishing and raping in wreckless fashion, showing no remorse nor kind compassion..Ahh yes as I stand ontop of this fortified fortress I can almost hear ghosty insufferable cries and sighs of sad distress...

Being Me

You've captured the feeling that castles give so well. It is easy to imagine the goings on of the past while walking the ramparts. Fab poem, Jill x
