An English Red Rose

When the solitary beautiful blossom blooms
air is embraced with sweet perfumes
As red as a lover’s bleeding heart
A flower of finess
Such a work of art
Bewitchingly beguile
One is hypnotized
Ensnared amidst enamour
Mentally mesmerized
An English red rose
shall seduce and allure
Petals of perfection
Interplaited and pure
Oh my little garden
how you sweep me off my feet
Yon single rouge red rose
so immaculate and neat
Your aroma magnetizes a delicate butterfly
She gently kisses and caresses you
until our Summer says ‘Goodbye’

Stunning Jill...this resonates because I have a azalea bush in the garden ...and only yesterday was thrilled to see there are blooms on it...believe it or not they are 'rouge red' and so similar to roses...pinned ?
Awwwwwwwww how can I just pin this lovely comment then coz I want to ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Jillian,
Beautiful poem, my friend. You're so good!
I loved that.
Matthew.
PS. As a minor interjection, if you want to Pin Marionette's comment, the easiest way is to print it out, and pin it to your shirt. I do it all the time, and people love it. They tell me I'm a dorkus maximus, which I assume is good, because it contains a maximum value adjective.
Thanks. M.
Thanks loads lad ❤️?❤️
