An Entire Nation Still Mourns

An Entire Nation Still Mourns

One minute everything was fine but the next, everything went sour.
Terrorists hijacked some planes and attacked the World Trade Towers.
Because of those damn terrorists, 2,977 innocent people were killed.
They attacked the World Trade Towers which took six years to build.
Construction of the Towers began in 1966 and ended in 1972.
What those terrorists did was a cowardly and evil thing to do.
The people who were born on that day are now adults legally, time flies.
An entire nation still mourns the loss of each and every person who died.

(I dedicate this poem to the nearly 3,000 people who died on September 11, 2001.)

After posting this poem, I remembered something about 9/11 that I hadn't thought of in years. This was shocking and sadly, it was true. Some people from another country were celebrating what happened on 9/11. They were dancing in the streets because they were so happy. I saw this on the news. It's disgusting to see how sick and twisted certain people can be. I don't remember which country it was, but those people who were dancing and celebrating are evil, or at least that's how I feel about it.
