Ancient Slumber

Ancient Slumber

When they awake from their ancient slumber.

Saints of a magnificent number.

A remnant as many as the stars that we see.

A remnant as many as the sands of the sea.

Together in Christ, as one big family.

Together they'll march in victory.

Tonight they dream in peace.

But one day their dream will cease.

When they awake from their ancient slumber.

From shame into glory, resurrected they'll stand.

Saints from a thousand land's and a thousand times.

AcquitedĀ for there uncommitted crimes.

For their faith in God they were sentenced to death.

But once again God will give them breath.

And wake them from their ancient sleep.

For their companionship to forever keep.

Ancient slumber is dedicated to those,

Who made the world a better place.

In the name of the God of love and grace.

For them the second death will have no hold.

Because their the flock of the good shepherd's fold.

From the first martyr abel.

To the last described in revelation.

How blessed are they.

To beĀ invited to the lamb's marriage celebration.

Those who belived in Jesus God's only begotten son.

Who for themĀ died on the cross.

Who in his name suffered pain, hardship's and loss.

Who took from God council, wisdom, and direction.

Are blessed to partake in the second resurrection.
