And a voice cries out

Elevator in the Wilderness

I do not judge the one called al Amin
Nor the king of the Right Hand
For both exist within me
And yet like David and al Hallaj
I deny them the throne
For only one is worthy
And so I sing in Zion
the shape of my heart
That the Spirit may come to rest
at the tune of Jesse's harp:

Where is Your unfailing love?
Where are Your mercies of the morning?

Where is Your strengthening joy?
Where are Your mercies anew?

Take me to the rock that is higher than I
Into Your skies
Far above my storming!
