And All That's Gold
Autumn's Poem
Dancing shadows of leaves
tell me it's autumn
colorful shades
turning from bright green
to yellow and pink
pumpkin orange
then to soft rusty brown
warm sunshine beaming
through the, soon to be
skeleton of the great oak
and all the while I’m wondering…
how could the transition
from this now, sleeping summer
be so darn glorious?

The seasons series.
Indeed, the glorious boom in colour of autumn, thank you dear Rory, do you have wonderful autumns in Australia? 🍁🌾🎃
How curious of you to ask, Poet. In the south where I grew up there were purposely planned autumn's. To the middle of the country on the east where the land meets the Pacific Ocean, further up north, there are but too seasons. Mostly cold and organ failure hot!
Organ failure hot that's a wonderful phrase, it's actually a bit like that here too, sometimes my eyeballs feel they will explode. we used to have spring but now it seems winter turns to summer overnight, thank you for taking the time to tell me some facts about Australia, I really appreciate that. May I also take this opportunity to tell you I once researched the Kookaburra, or Kingfisher as it's widely known in europe, just love the word Kookaburra, I once wrote a poem about it. Thank you dear Rory. 🌹
I'd like to see that poem, Shirley H.
I will try and see if I can dear Rory it all depends on Google. 🌹
Or, write another. Certainly it will be more mature
