And so when I'm feeling this happy
isn't it funny
that nothing can make it a bad day?
every moment being one of
serenity
and of
peace
and of course
of love
but...
please, don't get me wrong?
when it changes
I know I will be grateful
and I'll write about that too.

Hello Shirley...
As it's easier to tare things down than building it up...
It's easier for a Homeless person to be content and survive than someone who has had a Roof over their head for their whole lives and suddenly loses it...
It takes close to a year of Homelessness to figure a little bit out...
Is it Homelessness that leads to mental illness?
Great write!
Thank you for sharing...

I've never been homeless my dear Sparrowsong, but I have much empathy for those who are or have been, as poets we literally can write about anything can't we? and there is always something of.me in my poems. Thank you dearest sis. 🌹
Hi Shirley, in a few lines you have produced a deep write with a powerful message. Our colours are many and complex but true contentment comes only by knowing and accepting the self... in all its many guises.
'and I'll write about that too.'
Yes, definitely, please do.... hugs X
Thank you for seeing the very soul of this my dearest Marion. 🌹
"When it changes I know I will be grateful." Yes I believe that. Not every day can be a good day but good or bad we still need to accept the truth of what you say in your poem. 🌹
Exactly and I'll write about it all, thank you dear Bernie. 🌹
