I am star
And I have seen my mothers
In all their glory
Out in the universe
Those dazzling lights
Wondrous beacons
Off far
Swirling masses
Purple, green, blue
The colours of life then
Of me
And you
Timeless beauty
Unchallenged
Unrivalled
By anything new
And so..
I am dust

I will return to dust
As
We all must
But dust does not see
Does not hear
Think
Taste
Feel
And stars are illusion
Not real
Ancient dead things
Space warped light
A trick of the eye
In mysterious dark night
And so..
If stars are illusion
long past
Explosion and fusion
In puzzling world
And unknown sky
Then
Illusion also
Am I?
