And Than I Remembered

And Than I Remembered

and then I remembered
I was the one sitting in this sinking boat

the one unable to look at my reflection

the one who has to shut up

and I remembered

I was the one sabotaging this boat

stabbing the sidesĀ

letting the water run in and out

and I remembered

I was the one using a bucket to scoop

the one panicked inside

trying to make it alright

patching the side
Ā

and then I remembered

I was the one sinking in this floating boat

hoping to sink faster

to the bottom of this hole

and I remembered how I don't know

.
