Angel Dust And Gold

Angel Dust And Gold

God took twenty pounds of “angel dust”, and made it into you;

Then he took sixteen ounces of the purest gold, and made your heart so true!

And he looked down on the earth to find, a soul with yours could be;

He found the perfect mate for it, and sent you straight to me!

For he looked into my coldened heart, and knew, that it, you’d cure;

Because you were His special “Angel Dog”, so innocent and pure!

He floated you to earth one day, and made sure that I would see;

The paper with the ad that read, “For Sale” six Bichon Friese puppies!

The moment that I saw your face, I knew you were the one;

I fell in love with that first sight, and our union had begun!

The joy you brought was beyond compare, I’d never known such bliss;

Every day with you was just the best, every one without, I’d so you miss!

For thirteen years, you gave your all, every ounce of love you had;

But one day God had to call you home, my heart and soul so sad!

I see you in my dreams at night; you allay the tears I’ve cried;

For you tell me that when God calls for me, he’ll make sure I’m at your side!
