Another Blossoming

The Vinedresser Still Makes Wine

For Ilu so loved the light,
Ze gave it Anthropos
To share chemistry with it
in the Taoist cosmos

For Ea so loved the garden,
He split Kingu asunder
Eve emerging pristine
with Adam's ruddy thunder

For Elohim so loved the earth,
Ze wiped it clear of men
Selecting Ziusudranu
to rejuvenate it again

For Mahadev so loved humanity,
Ze elected a non Brahmin
To restore it to sanity
via an oath of "Amen"

For Heba so loved her priests,
She gave them Malchizedek
To distribute the holy feast
and grip oppressors by the neck

For Teshub so loved Sarah's seed,
He sent anointed prophets
To set those captives free;
flushing unjust regals' pockets

For Adonai so loved his seers,
He gave them the son of Bathsheba
To wipe away their tears
and signpost a Deliverer

For Yahovah so loved the world,
Ze poured out a fresh spring:
Ner child, the Living Word
that makes us born again

For Allah so loved the Ecclesia,
Ze struck it by Gabriel's sling
To stir her to jealousy,
by the unity of the Muslim

For Shakinnah Ti Inana Nandi so loved the slaves,
She visited them on Azusa Street
To remind them of who saves
and how to rogue jinn defeat

For Yashua so loves his sheep,
he carries them through the ashes,
while those in Maya sleep
and die by carnal passions

For Shiva so loves the hosts of His name,
He choreographs a brand new dance,
ignites a final flame,
and chaperones this latter day romance
