ANOTHER DAY

I woke to the sunshine how could that be.
The sun looking as though it wants to sleep in.
The sun looks how I feel.
I thought you were coming last night to take me away.
Did I make you afraid that I would turn the other way.
I've been expecting you since nineteen seventy one.
Said I would never make it.
I thought I saw you smile Mom.
Another day for me to see what was meant to be.
Morning brings the day.
I will count all my gifts again today.
Tomorrow could hold a day like today.
Bad news can't stay.
