Anxiety

Anxiety steps in

Completely uninvited and unwanted

His voice is so loud that it ricochets and echoes in her head and his light is a painful bright

He punches his fist through her chest and fills her lungs with concrete

Her heart is heavy and she's fighting for breath

She learns to focus and breathe through the pain and laugh in his face

The light dims and the volume goes down

He pulls his fist from her chest and exits the room

She's released.
