‘Apple and Pears’ 💕

‘Apple and Pears’ 💕

Underneath that big old moonlight, but up above the ‘Apple and Pears’

Tired, tiny Timothy Winters went to say his bedtime prayers..

And as he knelt down on his hunkers, with his two palms clasped together on his big singe bed

He closed his eyes so tightly and he bowed his sleepy head

Well many hours later Daddy turned the tv off, as Mammy stood at the bathroom sink brushing her pearly whites, giving a little cough

Both of them were exhausted, they had stayed up much too late

But Timothy had went fast asleep on his first night ever, in his new big bed, and hadn’t got in a scary state

So the first thing Mammy found as she opened up tiny Tim’s bedroom door

Was him kneeling on those hunkers with his tattered Teddy lying on the floor

Bless his little cotton socks he hadn’t managed to say his nighttime prayers

Timothy was in the land of sleepy town, dreaming of never, never land and pirates as his folks sat comfy down the stairs…
