Could have been a dream line
A time when Apricot Flowers smiled
And all the signs of dying
Lay still, in a casketed, sublime, rain
Making trails on the windows
And false kings never noticing
That the time was perfect.....
Could have been an escape pod
Riding the dream line to God
Burning a golden trail across time
And into the nervous system of rhyme
Making a mockery of meter
And simpleton's of molded minds
Never mind the men in armor....
What is it really
An experience, a day, to wonder why
An honest phrase, a life, a dimming light
I wonder why,
I wonder, what it could have been....
Could have been a dream line
A time when Apricot Flowers smiled
Where all the signs of dying lay still
In a casketed, sublime, rain....
