Arm chair

Arm chair

Who’ d have thought it, 65
some would say a good thing your still alive
If only they could feel the truth
the ravages of a misspent youth

When in youth forget tomorrow
live for today repent in sorrow
If we knew then what we know now
old age would be a happier time
somehow?

But no good dwelling on the past
after all past is past
look back with memories found
dont think what you did was wrong

Im sure while sitting in your old armchair
reflecting on your youth, suddenly you find the truth

Do it all again without hesitation
not change a thing without reservation
what we did makes us what we are
