Poem -

As. if.

They said it would get smaller.
That a shaft of light would
eventually break through that old
creaky lid and I would climb out.
They were wrong of course.

It's all to do with perspective see.
How it's easy to feel the sun if
you're standing in it. I hear them
calling mind. Muffled voices
through the heavy earth, though...
less and less these days.
It doesn't matter.

The dark can have it's comforts too.
And this place is getting bigger
and bigger and bigger...bonus.
There's a telly in here now. As. if.
I could ever climb out and leave you here alone.
