Poem -

ashes' fire

ashes' fire

....in this silence of Tibet; my death; humble death

I am taken up into ashes' fire

To say goodbye to this earth

 Upon the great mount Himalaya

Om mani padme hum

Buddha of compassion

Buddha of eternity

Buddha of light and dark

In this heart of suffering

Ashes in the winds of humanity

My Dear Brother Poet Jai,
.
Oh Great Dali Lama
Those ashes of your fire
Contain only of your body
But your soul will ne'er expire

.
For you were the exalted one
Now another takes your place
We say prayers as your sacred spirit lifts
Oh leader of the Human Race

.
Peace and Love,
Larry xxx

Ah Buddhism
if only all the "isms" regarded peace
as the prize; if only metta (compassion)
was the virtue amongst all nations and
religions.

As you say Larry ..."the Buddha soul will not expire it will transcend instead.

Luv from Jai:) ?
