Poem -

My Astronomy.

My Astronomy.

Through the lense.
I sit in awe.
As the world below.
Cycles through freeze.
Then thaw.

Celestial objects.
So far away.
Their colours bare.
Light the way.

There's purple, red.
Even yellow and blue.
It's been seen through time.
As the light shifts in hue.

There's rings. There's clouds.
Things yet to be seen.
But understanding the distance.
Is one's only dream.

What if I could?
Bend space and time.
Where would I go?
What would I call mine?

What wonders I'd see?
The distance I'd go?
Would I return?
To let you all know.

Or would I be lost?
To the vastness of space.
But I do know this.
My heart, would race.

However, in time.
I would return.
Because for my family.
My heart would yearn.

Safe In Your Arms.

I fall asleep.
You are there.
Arms tight around me.
Your eyes, they stare.
