Aurora Borialis

Aurora borealis

Set on the backdrop of a starry night sky and a thousand glittering eyes, slowly appears she, Aurora.

One never knows when or where she is, but she likes it where it’s forever cold. Her beauty is timeless even though her soul is old. She’s been mesmerising around the north since the beginning of her existence, since the beginning of all. One may call them blessed to see she who wields a roman candle. She runs, thoughtless and free. She never lingers- there are other places she knows she must be. Forgive her and kiss her goodbye – she truly is the sight of a goddess, a possessive sight to see. Pierce my eyes and watch them wither and die – her beauty is unmatched and many wish to die at her feet. She pierces the Antarctic and melts its metaphorical ice – she scathes my mind and leaves me with a memory with no price. Priceless is she – dead and alive, upon the background of an icy sea, amongst the mossy green and yellow of the sun.  Among the leafy greens and tongue pinks.  You’ll expect her to be blue and white and still, but no child – she is all of the colours we have never seen and more alive than anything you’ll ever see. They say she’s magic, that she heals; she is a shadow of the universe, a reminder of what it is. It is a banquet, we only get a lick. The thought is juicy, juicy and one day we’ll have more than just a speck of salt on the tip of the tongue but a bite from the whole apple. We’ll see. One day, when the thought can be made into action and action can fulfil our hunger.
