Auschwitz- Belzec- Buchenwald- Dachau…………

Inspired by Jai Masters powerful poem “the living gone”
The G.I.’s arrived at many camps, to free the Natzi’s slaves;
These war scarred soldiers who fought so hard, then saw the ghastly graves!
Where humans laid thrown in like trash, their faces in terrors’ fear;
These grown men who had enured themselves, now wept with open tears!
The ones not dead were barely alive, a mass of skin and bone;
Their saviors gave them food and clothes, said “You no longer are alone”!
They rounded up the Commandants, and said, “Fill these graves, now dig”;
“If you don’t our mighty rifles, will blow holes in your heads big”!
The survivors started gaining weight, and somehow they would smile;
To thank their heros who had saved them, from the monsters that said “Heil”!
Many had lost their sacred kin, siblings, parents, children, wives;
But remarkably they found the strength, to continue with their lives!
Some made their way to Palestine, others went all around the world;
They told their stories of the Holocaust, how such tragedy unfurled!
Most of them aren’t with us now, but we still have a treasured few:
That make sure the world will e’er remember, what evil men can do!

Dear Greg,
It is so nice that you got to meet a Holocaust survivor, your sweet neighbor Inge. Linda and I have also met survivors and seen the tattoos on their arms. It is unbelievable that there are Neo-Natzis in the world, who say that it never happened. Thank you for your kind words.
Peace and Love,

My Dear Friend Jai,
If I were an artist, never could I put down on canvas what I have portrayed in this poem, for my tears would inundate my palette. One look at this horrid photo should be all it takes, to start one's soul sobbing. Thank you for your wonderful comment.
Peace and Love,

Hi Larry lovely sad and true write. We pray sure awful things never happen again. Warm regards.
My Dear Cleo,
Unfortunately, on a smaller scale, genocide still exists, as in Africa, where well over a million have been slaughtered. What a world we live in. Thank you for your kind words.
Hugs, Peace and Love,
Larry xxx
