Baby jenna warrior of life

The day you were born I was so excited to find that i was having a baby girl so sweet and so fragile with tiny hear beats i only got to hear you cry for a little while, i only got to hold you for a few minutes until you started away from gods only light your heart started to fade away as mine began to melt away. While envisioning what would be the darkest hours the darks days time stood still for a very long time nothing but fears and lots of tears,i lost my way and didn't believe in miracles it just seemed hopelessly out of sight but then one day unexpected Jesus sent the angels your way and comfort you and make you feel safe. They kept you under their warm wings and watched over you from above. He's working his mysteriously ways, he made you so strong after you had been through fourteen surgery's and still his little warrior of life is still going strong after fourteen years in life. I believe in miracles Jesus has showed me living proof still living here today.

TWO MONTHS after my son was born we moved from Houston to St Louis. I drove a big truck pulling a car and my wife was driving our new Caprice classic. She had taken the baby out of the car seat and had him laying on the seat between her and her mother. She fell asleep and ran into the poles that hold up the overpasses. Needless to say at 70 miles an hour into concrete the car did not give much padding. I was a mile ahead and an 18 wheeler flagged me down. They told me there had been an accident. when I got to the site, my wife was standing with help( she broke her leg) The baby was being held by a bystander. My wife's mother was so bloody I thought she would never make it. The baby's head was swelling and I could see it growing. That being said, all are well and alive, Thank God!

I feel your pain. I don't think I could be hurt myself bad enough to equal the pain I felt watching my son's head grow with swelling .

Your poem touches parts I had not visited since then.

There is no thanks great enough to God for my son's life and I am sure that includes your daughter!

Lots of feelings in this write> good job, Anthony (sending you a message)

Thank you everyone its been a struggle along the way alot of triumph and tears when my daughter was 4days old she started to get really bad I saw her near death so little hooked to all kinds of wires. And the look of pale grey look of death. I remember it like it was yesterday. She got flown to children's hospitals and was there for a whole month. I never even got to take my daughter home. She was so tiny in a big hospital bed she had a blood transfusion two heart surgery's on and off the ventilator. She is now fourteen years old and has had almost fourteen surgery's. I'm trying raise money so I can take her to Disney world. We have di George syndrome I have it to im trying to spread awareness its very rare we have also 22q and vcfs.

A sad but very hopeful story Heidi; one that is very hard to truly sympathise with unless you have lived it.  I as a Mum though can only empathise and my heart goes out to you.  You sound like a very strong lady and I wish you and your family a very happy Christmas and all the best for the New Year!!!
