Poem -

Babylon

Babylon

I swim in an ocean of coral
Amongst the blue fish
Entering bubbles and rock places
Wet on my face
Warm waters of Babylon

I swim in an ocean of coral
I enter inbetween and out of dark places
Lit up by a million little tails and faces
Warm waters of Babylon

God knows these places
If only we could reach these spaces
No matter no matter
Wet on my face
Warm waters of Babylon

I swim to the East
Via the Red Sea
Via Aquaba
I try to reach home
Wet on my face
Warm waters of Babylon

I try to reach home
Wet on my face
Warm waters of Babylon

Swimming in a sea of coral with blue fish strange thing would be that the author does not wet the face, or the introduction within the bubbles that exude the marine rocks, or to let guided by lights and shadows of the bottom of the sea to be able to return home. I loved the poem, translated to Spanish loses rhyme, but not broken, the author says:

“Mojado sobre mi cara en las cálidas aguas de Babilonia, intentando regresar a casa, mojada mi cara por las cálidas aguas de Babilonia”

A greeting.

Hello Lucas, love seeing Spanish version too!

You are fluent; I try translate poem into

Spanish too, less successful.

The poem is about empire come and gone,

Babylon

Thank you Jai :)

Hey Jai, I love absolutely everything about this poem from the beginning to the end, the repetition of" warm waters of Babylon" added a mellow but...aquatic feel to the poem, it was and interesting and compelling read
