"LIKE A BALALAIKA..."

"LIKE A BALALAIKA..."

When the beach is empty
Like it is today
After a brief rain
I find myself
With my mind ablaze
There's so much room
To run and play.......

And even though
I can't
Give you praise
I can
Watch you in the waves
Your eyes, the sunlight
Reflected
In the blue
Of this summers day.....

Your movement
In the persons
That walked here
Just the other day
Wafting by me
On the scent
Of yesterdays rain
That took my secrets away......

I know you try to remind me
By the things you do
That
I Love you too
And so
In passing time
On the beach this way
You're my reflection
You're my material
The stuff of clay
Molding
Your memory
To my recollection....

Because it's always
How I see you
In the center of my silence
It's always how
I feel you
Through the center
Of your shyness......

A riveting conversation
That lifts us
Far beyond simple words
In this refreshing
Air
You're the song
I've never heard......

Like a Balalaika
You rush
Music
Through my veins
Composing a dedication
To the Foreword
In my
Brain.....

As we analyze
The situation
We can conclude
This love of ours
Is real
But not unless
The truth
Is told in this
The music
Of how we
Feel.....
