Balance

I.

I went to the mountains

and let my flesh melt away,

and my bones

molded with frost.

the wind carried my hair west

and caved in my jaw

where baby teeth 

ground amethyst quartz stone.

II.

I sold my organs on the black market.

They cracked the ice away

and I sent you a bit,

just so you could realize how cold I was inside.
