A Ballad of Belle

A girl named Belle was born one day

In a small village of France.

And fancy was Gaston for her,

But he didn't stand a chance.

Belle was diff'rent from the rest;

She wished for more than looks.

She wanted more than fam'ly;

She longed for life from her books.

When Gaston offered her marriage--

Most girls thought him a prize--

Belle turned him down, nary a frown,

He only loved with eyes.

Hi Makenzie,

I think that Belle for sure made the right choice. Great ending.

Belle turned him down, nary a frown,

He only loved with eyes.
