Bamburgh castle

Bamburgh castle

I see a Roman centurion beside the castle walls..and just above the raging sea I can hear his panic calls
He is boisterously bawling, yelling at his mighty men to “BATTEN DOWN THOSE HATCHES SAVE YOUR SOULS AT VAIN!!”

Longboats have landed and are moored off the sandy shore.. big, burly bearded Vikings.. warriors galore!!..These rifler rover’s are here for the thrill.. armoured with swords, axes, bows and arrows.. they aim to kill!!..Such a seething bloody battle lies ahead.. these Vikings will claim this castle as Roman wives lie in their beds..

So I stand in sheer terror at what I can see..chaos and calamity all around me..But just for a split second there is a silent “Sshhh” right before the anarchy and rebellion rush!!..Then amidst this pale moonlight I witness ghostly apparitions locked in fight!!..”Oh my God” have mercy on these men..blood-curdling limbs fly..again and again..

Don’t ask me why I can see history as I stand betwixt the castle.. but my eyes are flooded in the blood bath hassle..Such sickening, sad stories should be left untold..from the tales off bygone at this stronghold...All at once and from out of the blue I rid my awful images of the haunting hullaballoo.. I am leaning on a stone slab ledge..looking out at yon horizon from the ocean edge..peacefulness and beautiful tranquilty with only the sounds of the rolling sea..
