Battle Cries

His cries of pain cannot be heard above the rest.

He knows it is now he must face the ultimate test.

Carrying on shall take all strength and conviction.

This can only be acknowledged his ultimate mission,

An assignment like no other, as prayers sustain him !

Can will to live conquer chance of survival so slim ?

One bullet has put everything accumulated at stake. 

He must realize victory for his beloved families sake !

A soldier fighting stoically for others represents many.

Can any deny a determination speaking for humanity ?
