Battle Cry !
"Due to recent health concerns I wrote this about the effects such matters
have on body & mind and the importance of remaining positive."
..............
Trapped in an oubliette, thoughts festering,
With head in hands, veiled spectres haunt my brain,
The tides of hope ebb from my inner being,
Receding slowly try my strength to drain.
Down deepest soul I dredge through dismal silt,
Where mixed emotions settled over years,
Tormented by regrets I search for guilt,
Preserved there by the salt of un-cried tears.
On hopeful needles of cure I fall impaled,
The trace of wretching vomit off my breath,
Demented by a health that sadly failed,
A walking wounded curse as bleak as death.
These burdens I must clutch in laiden arms,
And fling them to a roaring mountain gale,
Should mother nature coax me with her charms,
To mend this ailing mind she must not fail.
I crawl this battlefield defenses down,
With her kind help some tranquil peace I'll find,
She in this sodden trench won't let me drown,
Within this warzone that's my tortured mind.
In stagnant pools of blood I see red clouds,
This wounded heart will not escape unharmed,
Alone I turn to face the enemy crowds,
If tears be weapons then I am well armed.
And yet I know this war I can survive,
Despite the fallen, laid in rotten stench,
These seeping wounds must not my hope deprive,
To rise and fight this soldier will not blench.

I appreciate your kindness Wendy......Thank you.
My Dear Brother Poet Mizzy,
.
You have me down but never out
I will fight you without blinch
For more than these life threatening wounds
I smell your putrid stench
.
You try to steal my soul from me
But I'll fight you tooth and nail
This demise you seek will never be
No matter how hard you me assail
.
So put your dukes up you monstrous cur
I'll KO you in the first round
As my fans all cheer and on me spur
To defeat you very sound
.
Peace and Love,
Larry xxx
