Battlefield

Battlefield

Standing on the battlefield,

Blood pumping

Hearts racing

Elbow to elbow, close together

Guns in our hands

Passion in our eyes

“We’ll take ‘em” they think,

“We can take ‘em all”

But what thoughts go through our head?
When the war begins,

Do we Run?

Or do we Fight?

No, we don’t run

We don’t cower

We look death in the face and say

“Not today”

We fight!

It never matters how long it takes

And if we die,

We die knowing that we made a difference

We die Free.
