Beamer Beaming

Beamer Beaming

Little fingers on little hands,
grasped around the metallic chains.
Ridges of her sweater cuff
rub against her palm.
Glossy blue, wind swept eyes,
sparkle in warm sun rays.
She follows the tips of her shoes
as they touch the clouds.
Her heart flutters on the way back,
once again touching the sky.
Pump creek, pump creek,
she beams the biggest smile through
her teeth.
Pulling back,
her hood flops down.
The cool autumn breeze
flows through her locks of curls.

She yells “Mommy push me one more time”
